While vending machines have been serving snacks for decades, they have grown to encompass an ever-growing group of famous foods. And while everything from fruits to salads are available in today’s vending products, the industry hasn’t quite yet reached the level of quality that a restaurant provides. However, a Tennessee chef is looking to change all that with a brand-new innovation.
Step onto the Livonia campus of Schoolcraft Community College, and you just might see their brand new gourmet vending machine. While most colleges are littered with standard combo vending machines, this device vends a variety of meals ranging from pasta and chicken to stir fry. According to chef Shawn Loving, this machine is the only one like it in the entire country. . Once students choose their gourmet dish, they simply press a button and their pre-wrapped meal is automatically heated up for them. Free of preservatives, the kryo-vacing process that seals the meals gives them a shelf life of 4-6 months. This unique device started serving up meals in February, with new ones on the way.
The folks at eVending are certainly impressed with this vending innovation, and we look forward to seeing more like it pop up. Of course, if you are looking to go down the more traditional route, our vending machines for sale will make a perfect fit for any establishment!
