One Big Vending Machine

August 5th, 2013 | Posted by DT in Combo vending machines | Snack machine | Vending machines - (Comments Off on One Big Vending Machine)

Snack MachineWhen you think of a vending machine, you would most likely picture a large black or gray machine with a glass from and some buttons, housing shelves of delicious snacks and beverages. Candy bars, small sandwiches, chips and bottles of water or soda have become standard vending-fare for most combo drink snack machines.

What if your vending machine vended items that weighed up to 10 pounds? A community in North Dakota has recently had two Shop 24 machines installed. Hard to miss, these vending machines are the size of small bedroom and vend almost anything you would find in a convenience store.

These giant machines have already been implemented on college campuses and in office buildings, but for residents in North Dakota, these machines offer an alternative to making a long trip to larger stores. The machines vend a variety of items including food, beverages, cleaning and laundry supplies, and DVDs.

While most office buildings, malls, schools and other locations you would expect to find standard snack machines, typically do not have a large demand for laundry detergent or liter-bottles of soda, the convenience of automated stores is very apparent for small communities. While impressive, the size of the machines also pose and issue for buildings looking to install them.

A Coffee Vending Machine That Knows When You Yawn?

July 22nd, 2013 | Posted by DT in Combo vending machines - (Comments Off on A Coffee Vending Machine That Knows When You Yawn?)

Vending machine manufacturers are always coming up with clever ways to market their products, and we’ve certainly just seen one of the most unique marketing campaigns yet. Everyone loves coffee vending machines as it is, but could you imagine one that knows when you’re tired and need some java most? According to Eater, Coffee brand Douwe Egberts decided to try the concept out, and put the results up for public viewing on YouTube.

In order to attract sleepy coffee addicts, Douwe Egberts planted a special vending machine in a Johannesburg airport that dispensed free coffee upon “seeing” a customer yawn. This was done via facial recognition technology, and the customers in the YouTube video are pleasantly surprised when their sleep-deprived state earns them a complimentary cup of Java. This isn’t the first example of facial recognition technology being used in vending units, as manufacturers are experimenting with the concept to deliver more personalized customer service. We’re not sure if yawn-detectors will become a staple of the vending industry, but they’re certainly an innovative move from a marketing standpoint.

Whether you want to be on the front lines of the vending industry or would prefer to sell the classics to your customers, visit eVending today and learn how to become a part of this exciting business!

Snack Spotlight: Lay’s

June 24th, 2013 | Posted by DT in Snack machine - (Comments Off on Snack Spotlight: Lay’s)

The contents of the bright yellow bag with the iconic “Lay’s” logo need no introduction. Lay’s chips have been around since the 1930s, and quickly became their own brand responsible for spawning additional snacks such as Doritos, Fritos, and Sun Chips. However, today’s post is dedicated to the classic treat that has defined the snack vending machine since its inception: Classic Lay’s!

Named after Lay’s Chips founder Herman Lay, Lay’s enjoyed rapid production soon after their invention. They were the first snack featured in a TV commercial, and can still be seen all over television today. Despite how varied and unique modern chip choices have become, Lay’s have remained a top performer in all types of snack machines all over the world. The reason for this? Some customers love sticking with the classics, and Lay’s chips have been delivering the same great signature taste for close to a century now. There are tons of variations on the Lay’s flavor, ranging from sour cream & onion and barbecue to the low-fat Baked! variation. However, the same “Betcha can’t eat just one” manta has applied to all type of Lay’s products no matter the type, as snack fans simply can’t get enough of this classic.

Here at eVending, we are proud to vend Lay’s chips in our esteemed combo vending machines!

New Vending Machine Runs on Solar Power to Sell Bike Helmets

June 4th, 2013 | Posted by DT in Buy vending machines - (Comments Off on New Vending Machine Runs on Solar Power to Sell Bike Helmets)

eVendingSafety has been a crucial factor to any combo vending machine, and modern vending units embody this principle in a variety of interesting ways. The cycling industry just gained a powerful piece of technology thanks to an upcoming solar-powered bike helmet machine, which will promote both the physical safety of bikers as well as the overall well-being of the environment thanks to its utilization of solar energy.

According to Treehugger, the Helmet Hub vending machines will start popping up in Boston around July. For two bucks, riders can rent a helmet when they find themselves without one and return it whenever they are finished. The Helmet Hub team will regularly pick up and clean out the products, ensuring that every product rented out from the machine is fresh before use. The goal of the solar-powered unit? To ensure that riders have no excuse at all for biking around town without proper protection.

It’s refreshing and exciting to hear about such an innovative, safety-conscious product arriving to the industry, and we hope a variety of facilities buy vending machines of this nature. No one should hit the street without a helmet, and these products make safety more attainable than ever. Are you excited about this forward-thinking addition to the world of cycling?

Art Sold Through Old Cigarette Vending Machines

April 22nd, 2013 | Posted by DT in Combo vending machines - (Comments Off on Art Sold Through Old Cigarette Vending Machines)

eVendingWhile many cigarette vending machines have become banned as of late, North Carolina-based artist Clark Whittington has found an all-new purpose for them. These former tobacco product dispensers have been renamed as “Art-o-Mat” machines, named after their sole purpose: To dispense mini-sized works of art to the public! In a world dominated by traditional drink and snack vending machines, Whittington’s work proves that there is always room for some retro-themed innovation.

This project started gaining steam around 1997, when Whittington installed his first machine in Winston-Salem in 1997. His re-purposed cigarette vending machines dispense black-and-white photos the size of cigarette packs for about a dollar, allowing just about anyone to enjoy the results of this unique vending creation. Whittington has turned over 100 cigarette machines into Art-o-Mat devices since he began the project, and he now has works featured everywhere from the Whitney Museum in NYC and Washington D.C.’s National Portrait Gallery. These vending machines have since expanded to feature everything from wearable art, notepads, small cartoons, and more.

We are constantly surprised and delighted whenever the vending machine business produces unique products like this, and we look forward to seeing the trend continue. Of course, if you are looking to enter the industry at a more base level, our vending machines for sale are a great place to start!

Dairy Farmers Make Use of Vending Machines

April 15th, 2013 | Posted by DT in Combo vending machines - (Comments Off on Dairy Farmers Make Use of Vending Machines)

eVendingWhile the food industry continues to grow more and more automated and pre-packaged, the farming industry continues to provide fresh, organic goods. However, even the farm world can benefit from the evolution of technology, and a group of farmers in Croatia have recently embraced vending machines to help further their dairy business.

According to SETimes.com, two dairy farmers in a Croatian village found a way to overcome the ailing farm economy in their area. They decided to begin selling their products directly through a nearby combo vending machine, giving customers automated access to their farm-grown goods. There are only 15 of these unique vending machines in Croatia, as various countries throughout southern Europe are picking up on the trend. Customers save a significant amount of money when buying their milk from these machines, and this new vending machine business model allows farmers to operate with an unprecedented level of independence.

As you can see, selling your product through a vending machine allows for direct access to numbers and frees business owners from the fees involved with selling at a store. If you are looking to jump into the industry and start earning extra revenue like never before, our vending machines for sale make an excellent place to start!
