Combo Drink Snack MachinesIf you have decided to enter into the vending machine business, you need to learn more about the business from an insider’s perspective. Therefore, the information listed below is invaluable as it will reveal all you need to know as you consider buying your first vending machine:

Select some locations for your machines:
It is important to have a good idea of locations in mind when considering a vending machine business. For example, check local offices or schools to determine if they have need of a vending machine. You also want to determine what type of clientele frequents the area and match your product with that location’s needs.

Pitch the idea:
Once you have some locations in mind and know what types of machines you will use,  speak to the business owners about placing your vending machines in your chosen locations. This step requires an investment in some marketing material such as business cards and brochures, which will show potential clients what types of machines you are going to use and other important factors about your business.

Get a permit and be ready to pay taxes:
In many cities, vending machines owners have to get a permit for operating a machine from their county clerk. In addition, you will have to pay taxes on your sales, which is important to keep in mind.

Get your machine and contents:
Find a reputable vending machine company, and purchase a vending machine. Then, find a good wholesale company where you can purchase the product you plan to stock in your machine. Finally, purchase any supplies and equipment you will need to keep your machine well stocked and clean.

These steps listed above will help you as you begin your vending machine business. eVending is here to help!

Biometric Technology in Your Life

September 24th, 2013 | Posted by Ajax Union in Combo vending machines | Vending machines - (Comments Off on Biometric Technology in Your Life)

Not that long ago, biometric technology was only seen in sci-fi or spy movies. Technology that allows us to scan a fingerprint or eyes, detect specific faces through cameras or access and use computers with our hands and eyes.

Now, biometric technology, or the identification of humans by their characteristics or trains by technology, is becoming so commonplace that it is even incorporated into our cell phones. Finger print scanners are one of the most popular forms of biometric technology and are used mainly for authenticating access to devices or programs and as a replacement for passwords.

While the debate of whether biometrics are a secure replacement for traditional passwords or security measures is on-going, there is a wide range of uses for biometrics that we can use every day to make our lives easier and our daily tasks more efficient.

Combo drink snack machines can even benefit from these exciting new technologies. Just a few months ago, eVending posted about a coffee manufacturer promoted their products with a vending machine that used facial recognition to detect when someone in front of the machine yawned.  Things like voice recognition or facial recognition could provide personal greetings, payment options or selection recommendations for patrons.

Other than the occasional “I need to grab something from the vending machine,” customers might not think too much about your machines. One Big Vending Machine

August 5th, 2013 | Posted by Ajax Union in Combo vending machines | Snack machine | Vending machines - (Comments Off on One Big Vending Machine)

Snack MachineWhen you think of a vending machine, you would most likely picture a large black or gray machine with a glass from and some buttons, housing shelves of delicious snacks and beverages. Candy bars, small sandwiches, chips and bottles of water or soda have become standard vending-fare for most combo drink snack machines.

What if your vending machine vended items that weighed up to 10 pounds? A community in North Dakota has recently had two Shop 24 machines installed. Hard to miss, these vending machines are the size of small bedroom and vend almost anything you would find in a convenience store.

These giant machines have already been implemented on college campuses and in office buildings, but for residents in North Dakota, these machines offer an alternative to making a long trip to larger stores. The machines vend a variety of items including food, beverages, cleaning and laundry supplies, and DVDs.

While most office buildings, malls, schools and other locations you would expect to find standard snack machines, typically do not have a large demand for laundry detergent or liter-bottles of soda, the convenience of automated stores is very apparent for small communities. While impressive, the size of the machines also pose and issue for buildings looking to install them.

A Coffee Vending Machine That Knows When You Yawn?

July 22nd, 2013 | Posted by Ajax Union in Combo vending machines - (Comments Off on A Coffee Vending Machine That Knows When You Yawn?)

Vending machine manufacturers are always coming up with clever ways to market their products, and we’ve certainly just seen one of the most unique marketing campaigns yet. Everyone loves coffee vending machines as it is, but could you imagine one that knows when you’re tired and need some java most? According to Eater, Coffee brand Douwe Egberts decided to try the concept out, and put the results up for public viewing on YouTube.

In order to attract sleepy coffee addicts, Douwe Egberts planted a special vending machine in a Johannesburg airport that dispensed free coffee upon “seeing” a customer yawn. This was done via facial recognition technology, and the customers in the YouTube video are pleasantly surprised when their sleep-deprived state earns them a complimentary cup of Java. This isn’t the first example of facial recognition technology being used in vending units, as manufacturers are experimenting with the concept to deliver more personalized customer service. We’re not sure if yawn-detectors will become a staple of the vending industry, but they’re certainly an innovative move from a marketing standpoint.

What if You Could Vend a Sound?

July 15th, 2013 | Posted by Ajax Union in Combo vending machines - (Comments Off on What if You Could Vend a Sound?)

Vending machines are a deeply ingrained part of our history for the better part of the last century, ranging from the world’s first gumball machine to the fully-featured combo vending machines we currently enjoy everyday. And while there are a variety of unique vending devices out there today, a recent report from Gizmodo reveals that companies have been experimenting with the vending machine model for decades.

We buy snacks and sodas from vending machines just about every single day, but what if we could buy sounds? That’s what a few coin-op engineers were wondering when they created a coin-operated radio. It worked very much like a classic vending device; All a user had to do was put their money in and they were able to hear music for a set amount of time with the option to buy more at the end of a five-minute session. And while the concept seems silly in an age where we hear music just by walking around outside, the model can be seen as a precursor to today’s music subscription services such as Spotify and Sony Music.

While it may no longer be necessary to vend music out of a vending machine, this classic find reminds us that innovation has always existed within our exciting industry. If you’re ready to get in on the action, browse the vending machines for sale at eVending.com today!

Vending MachinesOur combo vending machines are the perfect devices for selling today’s hottest drinks and snacks, and we’ve decided to occasionally spotlight some of our favorite refreshments. Today’s choice? If you ever passed by your local vending machine or convenience store, you’ve seen it: It’s Dr. Pepper!

A staple of shops and vending devices everywhere, Dr. Pepper started out over a century ago (you read that right!). The uniquely cherry-tinged drink was invented by Chalres Alderton and has since taken over anywhere that sells cold colas. While many soda brands are constantly pushing their latest variation, the classic Dr. Pepper taste alone has helped the drink remain a household name throughout decades. Packed with a supposed 23 flavors, drink consumers often hit the “Dr. Pepper” button on their local drink vending machine due to the unique taste that only the Doctor can provide.

Looking to provide Dr. Pepper’s classic taste to your base of consumers? Our vending machines for sale are the perfect home for any quantity of Dr. Pepper! Whether you want to include the beverage among a bevy of other drinks and snacks or want to make it a cornerstone of your machine, eVending is sure to have a product for you!
